Perkasa, a vocal NGO on the other hand, is in the limelight again. MCA
and Gerakan are pissed off with Persaka's action of giving angpow in
white envelope. Is this really an issue? It is good enough that Dato'
Ibrahim Ali wanted to give angpow to the Chinese. The gestures are noble
and trivial things such as the colour of the envelope is a non issue.
Ironically, last night was the Cap Goh Mei and firecrackers were heard
all over the country after midnight. Nobody lodge police reports on the
noise of the firecrackers as the non Chinese understand and tolerate the
culture of the Chinese. So, in the spirit of the new year, that is the
Year of the Water Dragon, MCA and Gerakan should forgive and forget the
actions of Persaka in giving white angpows. Gong Xi Fa Cai and a happy
Cap Goh Mei.
