OUTSYED THE BOX
An ex PTD officer (Pegawai Tadbir &
Diplomatik) smsd me that this type of rhetoric (telling Civil Servants
to repay lost moneys) has been in the PSD ever since he joined the
Government over 30 years ago. He calls it an ICBM - Intercontinental
Ballistic Missile - hot rockets that are never fired or exploded. For
fear that they may burn everything down. So ICBM's are just for display.
During the time of Tun Dr Mahathir, there
were people like Tun Ahmad Sarji in the Government Service. Dr
Mahathir kept a very close eye on things. That is why everyone was on
their toes. The Malaysian Civil Service was at its best during the time
of Tun Dr Mahathir. I have personal knowledge. Senior ranking
Government servants were well informed. They were professional and knew
their work. Things got done.
