Khazanah Nasional now makes most of its money by selling long held shares in public listed companies and GLCs which were bought by or allocated to Khazanah Nasional when the Civil Servants were running Khazanah under Dr Mahathir.
This does not require any thinking or competitive skills at all. If you think that selling your harta pesaka is a very clever thing to do to make money, then even a housewife can be a CEO of Khazanah Nasional - just sell off the harta warisan and harta pesaka that your father and grandfather left to you. Sell all the old TNB shares, all the other valuable shares that Khazanah acquired years and years ago under Dr Mahathir. Their prices have doubled and tripled, so sell them off and say 'We make money'.
In the final analysis what happens ? Orang Melayu jadi miskin dulu.
